QM Template Restrictions

I am attempting to modify a Matching/Dropdown question question. The Matching choices have a lot of text (can't be changed--client-driven). The issue I am having is that, since the size of the dropdown boxes determine the available matching text area, my matching text is running together. Is there a way to "unslave" the matching text area so that it is not controlled by the dropdown box size? Or, is there a way to change the font size within the dropdown boxes?
Thanks for your help!

Welcome to Heroes, Tom!
Is it only happening during quiz review, or all the time? Can you attach a screenshot so we can get a better idea of what you're seeing? Thanks!
Here's what it looks like.....I'd like to get the "Select" fonts all the same size, and be able to manipulate all the items (text areas, dropdown boxes, etc.) independently on the page for the best appearance. Is that possible?
Thanks for the screenshot, Tom. After publishing or previewing your quiz you might notice Matching Drop-down questions are overlapping each other or similar distortion. This is a known issue where the choice text exceeds 174 characters. To correct this, please try opening the question for editing and make a simple edit to the choice text. Adding a space to the end of the text and then deleting should correct this. Make sure you select the Save & Close button to confirm this change. If that's not working, please feel free to send us the .QUIZ file for further review. Thanks!
Thanks for the help! I will give that a shot.
