I am looking to use short answer questions as part of a quiz. i realise that I can use the option on the Survey part of quizmaker, but I want this, when graded, to add to their overall result. I'm not sure how to go about this. Any advice please???
thanks for the reply, but I am looking for an answer that could be a couple of sentences long. Each student is likely to give their own version of an answer that in essence could still be correct. Is there another way??

Hi Raul,
It sounds like you need to use the "Fill in the blank" question type. This is a graded question that will count against the score.

Hi Raul,
You'd have to use a survey question for that and then use an LMS that supports editing grading on the back-end.
