Quizmaker Numeric question auto rounding

Oct 10, 2012

Hi everyone -

So I'm trying to create a question in the Quizmaker, and I'm running across a rather maddening "event."  My company supplies tracking numbers to our clients that are eight digits long and end in the number 6.  The question I'm creating gives them the tracking number (48964366), and simply has them enter it into numeric field to gain some muscle memory.  So in the "acceptable numeric values" field, I enter "Value is Equal to 48964366"

Here's the maddening part - every time I click out of that field, the number is automatically rounded to 48964370 (even though the parameter is explicitly saying "EQUAL TO").  This in turn gives the new value to the acceptable answer, and the original number I wanted them to enter becomes incorrect.

If I shorten the number by one digit, it works.  Sure, I can do that to work around it, but it brings down the integrity of what we are presenting (in that we explicitly state that the numbers are always eight digits long, ending in 6).  Does anyone know of a setting that I've missed to prevent this auto rounding?

Thanks for time and consideration.
