Result slide error

Jun 01, 2015

Hi everyone

I've build a quiz and in certain cases, when the user ends the quiz, the failure layer appears, instead of the succes layer. The quiz is set to succes, if the user has answered 80% of the questions correct. There are 15 questions - so the user has to answer correctly on 12 of them to pass.

Failure layer

In the above picture the user has answered correctly on 13 questions out of 15 and get the failure layer - even though the pass percentage is 80% (12 questions)

The triggers look like this, on the result slide:

Result slide

When I right click the "Show failure layer when..." and press "edit" on the "On condition" it looks like this:

Trigger condition

There are only triggers on the failure layer - the succes layer have no triggers.

I hope someone can help. (:

Best regards

Mathilde

I just uploaded it in SCORM Cloud, and no problems there. But I haven't had any problems before with this course/quiz. It's been about five or six people out of maybe 250 people that's had the problem.

I suspect it's something to do with using IE8, because I use IE11 - Could this be the cause?

I'm not able to share the .story file yet, because the course is confidential until tomorrow. (:

I will be able to share the .story file tomorrow, because the content is confidential until tomorrow. (:

I made about 14 slides with text and animations and then added quiz slides to the course afterwards - I'm pretty new at this, so I'm not sure what the difference bestween Storyline and Quizmaker is? (I actually kind of thought it was the same thing)

HI Mathilde,

If it works as expected in SCORM Cloud, than you'll want to connect with your LMS team to investigate this further.

Storyline has the ability to add quizzes that look just as they do in Quizmaker, but in Storyline you can also add individual slides and more interactive elements such as screen recordings and similar.

Hi Mathilde,

I took a look at your file and didn't see anything odd about it's set up. You mentioned that it's only a few people, did they experience the same thing with the link from SCORM Cloud? You mentioned they may also be using IE8 - is this all users who are accessing it through IE8 or just a subset? Do you know if their score is transferring correctly or if they're just shown the failure layer no matter what?

Again, if it works as expected in SCORM Cloud, and you're unable to replicate it yourself it may be something specific to their environment, but without more information it's difficult to track down.
