Sci-fi changed to Sci-if

Jun 09, 2011

Hi there,

Funny problem. We have a selection of quizzes on science fiction that uses the abbreviation Sci-Fi.

We've noticed that in all the feedback boxes - this has changed to Sci-if

Is there a way to change this?

We don't mind editing all the feedback boxes manually, if we have to - but we're unable to find a way to make the change stick. Is there a way to add Sci-Fi to the dictionary?

Kind Regards

Frank

Hi Frank - Sounds like your auto-correct options are the culprit! Here's how you can add that word to your dictionary so that it quits doing that:

  1. In Quizmaker, click the Articulate button (the lower-case "a' in the upper-left of your screen).
  2. Choose Quizmaker Options at the bottom of the menu.
  3. Choose Spelling Options.
  4. Choose Custom Dictionaries.
  5. Click Modify.
  6. Here's where you can add a word to the dictionary so that it doesn't get auto-corrected. You can type sci-fi in the blank and click Add.
  7. Click OK, and keep clicking it till you're back in the normal question view.

Open a question and try typing sci-fi and it should stick this time.
