Text does not display when previewing or publishing in "my documents" (Quizmaker)
Sep 07, 2015
Hello community,
I know there is a standard solution on my above problem and have followed the advice to delete the articulate fonts and re-install articulate. The problem is still, that I can't see the text (questions and answers) when viewing my quiz with the player or publishing it.
If I look at the questions in the slide view, I can see everything though. The text just erases when I use the player or publish it. I tried to attach the document but it doesn't work, but anyways, this happened to other quizzes I created as well.
Does anyone have any ideas or can link me to a blog where this problem is mentionned (couldn't find one myself)?
Thanks for your input, Melissa
PS: I just tried the same with Engage and experience the same problem.

Hi Melissa,
If you're unable to attach the .quiz file here in the forums, we're also happy to take a look at your file if you can send it along here. You will also want to confirm you're working on local project files as described here, and if you're seeing this across multiple files and programs I'd suggest looking at the repair of Studio as well.
Dear Ashley,
thanks a lot for your feedback. I repaired the software and nothing changed. Yes I'm working on local project files, cause I figured out, that the software runs quicker ;-)
I have just contacted our IT department, cause I assume now, that it must be something with the hardware.
If they find why this happens, I will post it later for sure, in case anyone else experiences this. If they don't I'd happily send you the file in the forums. Thanks for that offer.
Hi Melissa,
It may be something else on your system as you mentioned, so working with the IT department would be a good next step,, although it could be the file itself. You mentioned particular fonts, and I'm curious what font you are using?
Please feel free to keep us posted on what your IT team finds, and if you'd like us to take a look at the .quiz file you can share here in the forums or send along to our team here.
Hi Ashley and Community,
my IT-department found the problem! The flash player was not up to date :-) So in case you ever experience a problem like the above mentionned, check if you need to update the flash player.
Best regards,
Melissa
Thanks Melissa for that update and glad you were able to get it working as expected! You'll also want to make sure that you're using the latest update of Quizmaker '13 which is accessible here.
