2 Attempts at a Quiz but LMS is only recording the first score

Hello!

I have created a question bank with 44 questions. 30 questions pull randomly and users get 2 attempts to complete the assessment. I have set up variables and it works great. However, the first initial score is what is reporting to our LMS (we use Cornerstone). Any idea on how I can get the second attempt score to populate?

The Articulate User Group on the Saba Online Community posted a workflow from 2017 which details the process for course completion status for both scored and non-scored content.

Question: if a learner's score is less than the minimum passing score, are you having Storyline send a status of Failed or a status of Incomplete (along with the score)? The former counts as a completion, albeit failed, while the latter does not.

If you are sending the learner back through from within the Storyline assessment should he/she not achieve a passing score, I would prevent the score from being sent from the Results slide and immediately send the learner back to the beginning of the assessment for the second attempt.

In the meantime, I'd like to provide some clarity on this in case anyone in the community has a similar question!

While there isn't a setting in Storyline to report your learners' second failed score. It will be up to your LMS if they'll accept another score and update it accordingly within the tracking. We recommend reaching out to your LMS administrator to confirm if this is an option, or if there is a particular setting you need to use within the LMS.
