2 out of 3 triggers don't respond on preview
May 07, 2015
Hi,
I created a slide with multiple layers and three triggers. Welcome, start and information, each going to a particular layer. When I preview the scene only the first trigger (welcome) will work. When you hover on the other triggers the pointer turns into a hand, but nothing happens.
I thought it might be an issue with my layers, so I removed them and created test slides for info and start, using "jump to slide" instead. No avail, the issue persists..
Anyone have an idea what I could have done wrong?
Thanks
Cris

Hi Cris, many times this happens based on criteria that is set for the triggers, or even the order that the triggers are called (but I doubt this last one is the case here). Can you share a sample of your project that is exhibiting this behavior?
Hi Brian,
Sure I've attached the slide. I'm really looking forward to knowing where I went wrong.
Thanks
Cris
Hi Cris ,
Please check attached story file because when I download it its show me blank slide.
Hi Ashash,
I've uploaded it again. It should be fine now.
Hi Cris
I think it has to do with how you have the Objectives and Start icon groupings. If you look at the timeline objects, the one that is working Welcome, has been set up differently to the other two - that aren't working. Also you may not need to repeat everything on the base layer on every layer, you could hide the base layer objects you don't want to see and add the additional things to each layer you do want to see. I would take those grouped objects, save them as a picture then insert them back in as one object - might be easier to handle.
Hi Cris,
Find out attached story line file I have make some changes in that. Now it’s working.
You cannot give trigger for group object so create invisible button or invisible patch and give same trigger to new created object.
Hi, Cris -
Look like you're receiving a lot of great suggestions! Please let us know if you are all set or if you still need additional assistance. :)
I'm all set.. the advise and the slide provided did the trick. Just to make sure I fixed my own slides as well and works perfect.
Thanks for caring!
Cris
