2nd Results Screen

May 23, 2014

I've created a quiz in my training project and it seems to be working fine, other than the second results screen I get that indicates I've failed the quiz, even though every question was answered correctly. Once I go through the exam and pass it, a results screen appears and calculates the score correctly

However, once I click menu, I'm taken to a second results screen that advises I've failed.

does anyone know how I can fix this and remove the second results slide?

Hi Sheena and welcome to Heroes!

It looks like you tried to insert an image here - but I couldn't see it.  Is this 2nd results screen in your .story file or within your LMS? If it's something you're seeing in the LMS I'd begin by reviewing this article on troubleshooting common LMS issues.  You may also want to reach out to your LMS team directly as they're your first resource for tracking and reporting issues within the LMS. If it's within your Storyline course - what is this second results screen connected to? Is there more than one quiz set up? Can we take a look at your .story file to see what this may be tracking?

Hi Ashley,

It's within my Storyline Course. Unfortunately, I don't know what it is attached to. I'm very new to storyline, as this is a project that I'm taking over from a co-worker that left our company. There are multiple (3) quizzes in the story file. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Sheena,

Thanks for sharing your file. Taking a look at this I see a total of four results slide - one in each of your module scenes, and one in the main scene that seems to be tracking the other results slides, and it's that main results slide (1.3) that would be tracked in your LMS? Can you tell me which one you're seeing "second" that tells you you've failed - and what path you take to get there?

Hi Sheena,

Thanks for clarifying how you end up on that screen. That seems to be expected based on your set up - as the menu button directs you to the slide 1.3 results slide - and you haven't taken any of the other quizzes yet, so therefore the user hasn't passed all three quizzes which are tracked by that results slide. Instead of directing the user back to that results slide, I would direct them back to the menu where they initially choose to take a particular section, and then implement a state change to indicate which quizzes they've already taken and/or passed - based on the state of each menu button, you could then set it up to determine if the user should see the final results slide when they've taken/passed all the quizzes.
