Accessibility for content and tab interactions in Storyline

Nov 12, 2021

I have a slide which has a heading + content on left + 4 tabs that show 4 different content on the right of the slide.

I have fixed the focus order in such a way that The left heading is read first + then the content + The user is prompted to click on 4 tabs on the right and the upon clicking each tab, content is displayed.

The nvda screen reader reads the button/tab labels as well as alternative text well, however missed out on the heading + content on the left as well as the 4 tabs content on the right. What keys must I press to the aforementioned content read? I use tab for navigation. Is there any way to fix this and get the screen reader to read all the content on the slide? Please help.

P.S: I have added a sample I have replicated since I cannot actually upload the screenshot since its copyrighted.

Thanks a lot!

Hello Srivani, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

I appreciate you chiming in to share what you are experiencing with your project file. It's hard to tell how you may have created all of the items.

Would you be able to import this slide into a new file and strip out the copyrighted material so that we can understand your design and help? You could also privately share your project file with our support engineers to investigate what's happening with your permission. You can share it privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.
