So I'm working on the accessibility settings in a course we have. Something peculiar, I thought, is that on a slide where the learner clicks on an icon to learn more about that subject on a new layer of the same slide, JAWS will only start reading the content on the new layer if the learner is using arrow keys to navigate instead of the tab key.
It would be ideal if the content on the new layer could be announced regardless of how the screen reader navigates the slide.
I'm happy to clarify! When navigating through a layer, you'll use the tab key for interactive elements like buttons, text entry fields, and hotspots. You'll use the arrow keys when moving through text boxes.
