Advanced color editing of player properties

I would like to change the colors in the player properties to non-standard colors that I specify.  When I view the "Edit item:" drop list in the advanced color editing, I know what some of the items listed are.  But I don't know what many of them are because the names of the items are not spelled out fully.  Even when I know what the abbreviated words are supposed to be, I still can't tell exactly what they're referring to in the UI in some cases.  And the preview screen shows no color changes when I change the colors in some of the items.  Is there a legend I can refer to that clearly identifies each of the items in the "Edit item:" drop list?
