Advancing slides after quiz

Mar 26, 2013

Another question,

What would be the best way to have the user only advance to the next slide when the user passes the quiz?

Thanks again,

Jay

Jay! We meet again

That depends on how you have the quiz set up. Are you allowing unlimited attempts on the question? If so, the learner would simply be greeted with a "Try Again" prompt when they answer incorrectly. This would be the best way to go about it, if you require the learner answers the question correctly.

If this is for an entire quiz and you're using a review slide, you could set it up so that the learner needs to pass the quiz in order to advance to the next portion of the course. This is a good option if you want to have the learner retake the quiz and continue, but requires a little more work. You can accomplish this by using some score variables and layers on the results slide. So, say the learner did not pass on their first attempt for the quiz. They'd see a layer, specific to that situation that would require that they retake the quiz in order to move on. On the other hand, if the learner passes the quiz, they could be greeted with a different layer that allows them to continue on with the rest of the course.
