Is it possible to put an anchor point in a scrolling panel? If a user clicks on a button I need the panel to automatically jump/scroll to the relevant anchor.
Storyline doesn't have anchor points but I could see their use given that many folks are using SL as a web design tool. It would make a great feature request! Would you be willing to submit it?
Posting on this one too, as this is exactly what I need to do right now. Is there any update on this one? Where can we see the list of features requested? And/or bugs reported too?
Thanks for letting us know that this is something you would like to see as well, Blue.
We track both bugs and features internally only at this time. I verified that this conversation is attached to the feature request so that we can update you if we have any additional information in the future.
I don't have an update as of yet, but I've added your plus one to the feature request we're tracking. Since this discussion is tagged to the report, you'll get an email notification if there's any forward movement!
I will add my vote to this one for a future feature request.
I'm not doing web work, but would like to have Articulate programmatically scroll down (via a variable?) to a certain point in the scroll panel to show or highlight specific text/images during the presentation. I hate showing large documents on screen, but when the client requests this...well, you know that story.
This capability would also make possible the option to keep the scrolling panel on one layer and call it only when needed, instead of duplicating and breaking the text or image up and presenting them individually.
Probably doable in JS, if anyone would care to share a solution via that route, or point to a tutorial.
I don't have any updates to share at this time as our development team has been prioritizing other features but I've included you both in the feature report. We'll update this discussion as soon as we have news to share!

Sure! Where do I submit a feature request?

I am hoping to achieve the same effect in Storyline. Is it possible to do this now?
No update on this Nisha! You are welcome to submit a feature request as well if you wish.

Hello, any news on this topic? It's wanted from my side as well.
Thanks!
Thanks for checking in, Miroslava!

Hi Alan & Cecilia!
Thanks for checking in on this!

In the meantime, here's a deeper look at how we manage feature requests.
Alan, the solution in this thread may help:
https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/javascript-scrollintoview-not-working-correctly
Essentially, you use alt-text to direct JavaScript to the location you would like to scroll down to.
Thanks for the update!
Regards,
Alan C.
Thanks for your patience as we work on the possible anchor points feature, Alan!
Just a quick note that replying via email includes your signature here, so you are welcome to edit the post and remove that information if you wish.
Yes! That's very helpful. This should work for what I'm trying to do. I figured JS would have something to do with the solution. Thanks.
