Animated PowerPoint files imported to Articulate Storyline

Jan 26, 2015

A question please about animated files when importing from pptx to Articulate Storyline.

Should animated files be in pptA format? I am told that some of the pptx files are animated but none of the files I have been asked to work with are animated nor are any in pptA format. They are all in pptx format.  Should I get back to my client for the pptA files or do you know once I publish the project if the animations will then be activated? Thanks for your help.

Hello Siliara!

Welcome to the community!

The PPTA file is a container created by Articulate Presenter to store resources for your presentation, such as audio clips, videos, web objects, quizzes, interactions, and more. It has the same name as your PowerPoint file (with a file extension of *.ppta) and is located in the same folder. And it must be kept with your PowerPoint file at all times.
