When you preview the slide are you able to see the final position? You won't see it on the slide itself, just the arrow point as to where you've set it to end. You could look at previewing the individual slide from the Preview drop down at the top of the Storyline UI or the timeline preview using the play button in the bottom left hand corner of the timeline.
