Whenever I add an animation and if I want to test it using the play button below the time line. I am not able to. I am able to click the play button. But all that happens is that it changes to the pause icon. I keep on waiting for the slide to play. but it wont.
I did a quick sample file to test the animations and previewing with the play button below the timeline functioned properly for me (please see attached). If issues persist, please verify that you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline.
I just found that I'm able to preview the animation when I'm on the slide with a bit delay (I wonder why as my machine has an 8GB ram), but I am not able to preview the animation in the slide master. I hope we have the freedom to test that ?
I attempted to add an animation to the slide master and click the play button to preview it, but was also unable to, so I have contacted our QA team for further exploration of the issue. And while I cannot give you a timeframe or provide a workaround, I will update here with any information I receive.
In the meantime, please note that preview from the preview button in the top ribbon works as expected for individual slides, so that could be an option in the interim.
I'm already doing that. Actually I'm adding motion path in the slide master and repeatedly going out of the master slide and checking if my animation is how I want is a bit irritating.

Yusuf, sorry for the trouble... Any way you could post an example of a Storyline project that has this issue?
Hi, Yusuf -

Thanks for your help Christie,
