Articulate Mobile Player shows no navigation options

Dec 20, 2016

I have downloaded (to work offline) two different courses to a new tablet. I have the latest version of the AMP.  On my cell phone (Android) , the courses work perfectly. On my tablet (Android) neither of the courses show the navigation icons (Next/ Submit /Enter),

The drag and drops work. I just cannot navigate between slides. Any ideas about what could be causing this? My tablet is an Acer with Android version 4.4.2 . There are no system updates - everything is up to date.

Thanks, Susan, for sharing your case number!  It looks like we've identified an issue where the navigation was not working correctly in Articulate Mobile Player's latest update (version 4) on the following non-Samsung devices:

  1. Nexus 7 running 6.0.1
  2. Acer Iconia Tab 8 A1-840FHD running 4.4.2
  3. Lenovo A3300-GV Android 4.4.2

Our QA team is going to be investigating this issue, and we'll update this discussion when we have more information to share.  In the meantime, navigation is unaffected and working fine with these devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy 10.1 running Android 4.4.2
  • Samsung Note 3 phone Android 5.0
  • Samsung Tab E Android 4.4.4
  • Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 Model ST-T110 Android 4.2.2
  • Nexus 7 6.0.1 running the prior version (3.25)
  • iPad - all versions

Thank you so much for bringing this issue to our attention!

Hello Bloom! Thanks for reaching out; I'll add that model and version to the list. We are working on a fix right now, but we’re still nailing down a release date for the next version of Articulate Mobile Player. You’ll be subscribed to this discussion which we’ll update as soon as we have more detail!

In the meantime, does publishing to include HTML5 without the Articulate Mobile Player work for you and your users? We really appreciate you working through this with us.

Crystal,
Thanks for the prompt response.
No, I am working on getting a bunch of my students use tabs for offline
viewing. So I do need some solution even if temporary until the fix comes
out.

Would love to try the older versions just in case they work. But don't want
to download from some random site on the net. So if you please pass the
older versions, I would happily try (and if I luck out, that would be a
relief)...

Regards,
Bloom
