Articulate Storyline Built in search feature

Oct 28, 2013

I would like to embed the search feature as the main page of our content.

Sort of like how Google has a main page and it is just to insert a search request.

Instead of having the search menu located on the lower left corner of a finished Articulate Storyline Product.

Thinking maybe, could create a web object, if I knew the search type for example:

<form method="get" action="story.html">

<input type="text" name="searchstring" size="15">

<input type="submit" value="Search">

</form>

This would send story.html?searchstring=my search term

Or this should be easier as it is already part of Articulate
Storyline just not in the correct location for our desired concept.

Any ideas welcome thanks,

Kevin

Hi Kevin and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

So, you seem to be aware that you can include a Search feature in your player properties. This would be dependent on the Menu display. By default, your menu shows as a sidebar, but did you know that it could show in the topbar, either left or right, if you wanted?

You can read more about player features here.

If you still need something custom, hopefully someone in the community will be able to assist.
