Assistance Requested - Memory Card Game

Jan 25, 2024

Hello All,

I am trying to edit a memory card game created by Bastiaan Timmers (thank you!) original is here: https://community.articulate.com/download/find-the-big-five-matching-game

I am trying to show a layer that says "Correct!" whenever a user matches a pair of cards.

For each card, I have a trigger to show this "Correct!" layer when the matching pair is flipped.. but it only works the first time I get a pair. Whenever I proceed to pair a second set of cards, the "Correct!" layer does not show up anymore.

Would anymore please be able to help me with this?

Thanks,

Lindsey

Actually, the "Correct!" layer always shows after the first matching pair. There's no trigger to hide it. However, it looks like it's gone, because the text-box doesn't show for the entire timeline.

Just add a trigger to close the layer when its timeline ends. (I also suggest shortening the timeline to match the duration of the text box.) Then it'll work as expected.

I applied the edits and it worked, thank you so much! However, I now have another problem..the "Correct!" shows up when a matching card is still flipped from another turn. Any ideas on workaround for this? I've attached the updated storyline file as well as a video showing the issue (shows up during my last move at the end of the video).

Thank you!
