Audio Issue (Layer 4)

Mar 03, 2023

Hi there,

I've encountered a rather annoying problem that I don't seem to be able to solve myself.

Concretely, I have a main menu with 4 layers. For each layer, I have an object animate in and interact over the relevant chapter to symbolize its conclusion (after the learner has completed it).

I have an audio sound effect set up that occurs when the object intersects with a hotspot (over the chapter number). And it all works smoothly. That is, for all layers except the last one (fourth layer). What I'm encountering on the fourth (last) layer, is an annoying double sound.

So I hear a sound at the beginning of the timeline and again when the object intersects with the hotspot (which is how it should be). Do you fine people have an idea as to how I can get rid of the first sound? I've already set the layer property to 'pause timeline on base layer' so that's not the problem.

Everything seems to be set up identical to all other layers and I am at a complete loss as to why this is occuring. So I've uploaded the relevant file to this comment in the hopes of enlightenment. Many thanks for any advice.

Cheers,

John
