I inserted the "sound from file" for the first six slides and the files loaded to the six slides perfectly. Now when I try to insert audio in the next slide (slide 7) it shows it loading but it does not appear on the timeline. I tried inserting audio to the slide after that one but still no luck?
These are .wav files and I am running on Windows 7 Pro.
Create a totally new slide and try to add the audio
Rename the audio (make sure there's no special characters) to something simple like 1.wav. Make sure no other audio is named the same. Try re-inserting.
Exit Storyline. Re-open and try again.

Are you using the same audio file across slides or different throughout? So it's only after slide 7 that you're having difficulty with? Are you able to share the .story file here with us?
