Autosave issues,

I had been working on a .story file yesterday and saved it periodically throughout the day.  When opening the file this morning, I only had a version from 8/28 @9:37 am.  That means that autosaved also faile.

I've search my entire drive and the file is nowhere to be found.

Options for recovery?

I'm so sorry to hear you've hit this snag, but I'm happy to help! If you've turned on the auto-recovery option, you should still find the previous versions of your projects in your Temp folder.

Here's how to check:

  1. Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
  2. Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
  3. Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
  4. Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
