Background zoom

Hello, I've recently discovered the zoom tool! I can easily apply it to zoom into my slide, but I'd like just the background image to zoom in, like a sort of video effect. I'd like my text to remain the same size. 

Is this possible? I cannot drag the zoom effect further down in the timeline, so it is above the image, it stays stuck on top, effective everything.  Thanks

    Hi, Diane.

    The Zoom region feature affects the entire slide, which includes your text. Alternatively, if your design allows, can you create an animation that simulates the zoom-in effect on your background image? Take a look at the example below using the same image with two different sizes and a Fade animation (exiting on the first image and entering on the second):
