Best practices to use Excel to import questions in Storyline 2

Oct 30, 2014

I started using SL2 and want to use Excel for importing questions. These questions will be created by SME's and I want to discuss here some best practices with you.

First I read the tutorial:

https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-2/articles/importing-questions-into-articulate-storyline-2#

I am currently creating a newer and more comprehensive template with example questions and I will share it here when finished.

Maybe others can share best practices here as well.

For a SME it might be confusing when choice level feedback is possible and when not (currently I only added it for MC questions). Therefore I changed the template a bit with a third tab with extra information. I also added a .Storyfile that contains the imported questions if you want to publish that for your SME.

I noticed that EXCEL is converting the "True" and "False" answer into TRUE and FALSE, because Excel is designed to treat this as states and not as text by default. It might be useful if the import is converting the capitals back to text.

Question: What Question types can have choice level feedback?
