Best way to do an animated reveal block?
Feb 26, 2021
Hi Everyone! I'm in SL 360 and I'm working on a click and reveal interaction (Jeopardy board game style). I'd like the top object to spin and fade before revealing the object underneath. What I've done so far is make three copies of the top object (with four stacked objects total). I'd like the top object to be static until the user is ready to click on it.
When they click on it, I have the following taking place before revealing the bottom fourth object.
1. Change state of top object to hidden.
2. Exit swivel animation on the second object (on timeline from 1 sec to 2.5 sec)
3. Exit fade animation on the third object (on timeline from 2.5 sec to 3.5 sec)
The problem I'm having is that the top object does not hide right away. The user sees it until the second swivel animation is complete.
I feel like this worked in SL3. Is there a setting in 360 I'm overlooking?
Thanks!
Michelle

Also, I tried another way - instead of hiding the first block, I tried creating a Visited state by setting the color of the object to transparent. Unfortunately, I can't make the lettering transparent.
Hi Michelle!
