I just downloaded Articulate 3, which I am assuming is exactly the same as the Storyline on Articulate 360, and I am upgrading from Storyline 2. I have files that I created with Storyline 2 and opened with Storyline 3, and when I preview these newly upgraded files, it seems that everything loses its resolution and becomes very blurry. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I am experiencing the same issue in AS3 and reported it to your technical team 2 months ago. They confirmed it's a bug in the system. It happens during preview and publishing, and adjusting browser resolution does not improve anything. Their recommendation for now is to use AS2 to avoid the blurriness, however I designed a few courses in AS3 and there is no way to reuse that content.
It's not about a particular file. The behavior is same for all the files. I have tried to capture the situation in the above image. If we look at the character then we can easily identified the difference, the character is small and blurry.
I see you've been working with my colleague Lea, and she also saw the same blurriness in Storyline Preview that you described. We're going to continue investigating this problem, as it should have been fixed in the last update. We'll keep you posted on any new information we receive!
I just wanted to let you know we just released Update 7 for Storyline 3! Here are the details.
It includes the fix we made in Storyline 360 that addresses an issue where text and images could be blurry when viewing a course in Google Chrome or Safari.
I want to look at your project file to investigate what's happening with your permission. You can share it publicly here or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when troubleshooting is complete.

Hi Lars,
Could you share a link to that course? I haven't seen the behavior specific to an animation yet, so I'd love to include that example for our team.

Hi, everyone! I'm excited to let you know that we just released Update 5 for Storyline 3–check out all the new fixes and features here!
One of the fixes addresses an issue where preview would appear blurry in the desktop view. We also launched a fix for this in Storyline 360. 🌟
If you're using Storyline 3, here’s where you can install and update the latest update. If it's Storyline 360, here's how you can update to the latest version. Let us know what you think ..and if you're still seeing blurriness, please let us know!
Hi Katie,
Please help me out a little. Before this update i was not facing this issue but after installing the update 5 the preview is appearing blurry.
Thanks,
Farah
Hi Farah,
Could you share one of your .story files with us so that we can take a look?

Hi Alyssa,
After upgrading to Storyline 3 version 6, the font is appearing blur in Chrome (latest version) whereas it is appearing fine in Firefox and IE.
Hi Farah,
Thanks for popping back in and letting us know what you are seeing in your project.
We are tracking an issue with blurriness in Chrome and I'll add this thread to the report.
This will allow us to understand the user impact and allow us to update you here when we can.
Recently, I also get the same issue and I tried a lot to fix it. Only solution I find out is given as follows in few steps:
1. Do not crop or scale your image in Articulate Storyline.
2. If you want to resize the image. I better suggest you to use Adobe Photoshop for cropping and scaling.
3. Export the image from Photoshop as JPEG or PNG format and Import the image in Articulate Storyline.
4. I repeat.. please do not scale or crop in Articulate Storyline. (if you are facing above issue.)
Thanks & Regards
Saurav
That's Great! :)
Has anyone found a resolution for this? My images are blurry when published.
