Bug with score on mobile devices

Aug 02, 2016

Hi there,

We're facing a strange behaviour with our Storyline courses published on our LMS platform. At the end of each course, there's a test. The test has 15 questions, we've tested it on a 100s of PCs and it works just fine, scores are ok. On mobiles on the other hand, it doesn't work at all. We published the Storyline files as html5 and a lot of users have scores like 0% or 6% and all their answers are noted as wrong even though they are actually correct. I've tested it myself on my iPhone, I ended up with a score of 6,66% and all the answers were noted as wrong with a red bar at the bottom of the slide even though the correct answer was correctly ticked.

Does anyone know how to solve the issue?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi Christie, well I've tested the course on Scorm Cloud with a free account and it seems to work fine on both my Mac and my iPhone. Even on my mobile I can see correct answers whereas on our LMS platform and on my iPhone once again they are all incorrect even though I'm sure they are correct.

Do you know what could be the problem?

Hi, Aurelien -- Thanks so much for confirming that your course is functioning properly when tested in the SCORM Cloud. Typically, that tends to indicate that the issue may not be so much with the course itself, but rather how it is interacting with the LMS platform. Perhaps you might want to share the name of the LMS provider you utilize in case there are others here who use the same service and may be able to share their insights. And I'd also recommend that you touch base with your LMS provider directly to see if they are able to share additional insights, as well.

Hi Aurelien,

One thought when reading through your response here - could there be a previous version of your course that you had uploaded to your LMS? It's worth clearing out the cache associated with your mobile devices to ensure you're accessing the latest copy of the course where the changes such as the score, etc. are working correctly. Otherwise as Christie mentioned, if it's working as expected in SCORM Cloud, it should be working normally in your LMS as well - and if it's not you'll want to reach out to your LMS team.
