I just learned about button sets but I am unable to access the option. I highlight the three objects I want in the set, but, when I right click on one of them, it deselects the other two and gives me a limited menu. (See attachment.) Is there something wrong with my computer settings? I've searched in my settings and tried restarting my computer but no luck.
You don't need to hold down the Control key when right-clicking. You simply need to right-click when you place the mouse on the edge of a button and see the double-sided arrow.
First, it looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.
I was able to select all the buttons while using the CTRL or Shift key, and then use the right click to show the menu. I didn't have to keep selecting the CTRL/Shift key. Could you let me know what version of Storyline and Windows you're using?
Thanks, Dan. We're using the same setup you're using, and the process shouldn't be different from computer to computer.
To recap, you should not need to hold down the Control key when right-clicking a set of selected buttons. Instead, simply click on the edge of one of the buttons, and the correct dropdown menu will appear.
I think I figured it out. The Tabs were built using shapes vs. buttons, therefore, it does not recognize the tabs to create a button set. I am going to rebuild the tabs.

Hi Dan,
Have you tried holding in the control and then clicking right mouse click?
I've discovered that if I hold Ctrl when right clicking, I get the menu.
Yes, I figured that out. But why is that?
Hi Dan! Check out this quick video I recorded for you.

Thanks Alyssa! That appears to work. I wonder why this is different from computer to computer.

I am having the same issue and none of the remedies above are working for me. I am using Windows 10. Any other work arounds to access this feature?

UPDATE: problem solved!
