I have the problem that I have created a nice button but it is affecting my workflow; When I want to paste my button(+Symbol) to the next slide or another layer, I need to readjust the triggers. They get copied but they somehow do not apply to the current button. Check out my storyline file below and try to copy the button.
Thanks for sharing your file! I am seeing that when copying the button, the Jump to Slide trigger is included. Animations, like motion paths, aren't copied so I'd recommend copying those triggers and pasting them on the next slide.
thanks for your answer. I am aware of that. When you try it out for yourself you will see that wenn you will copy the motion triggers, they will not work somehow. I need to adjust the triggers again, meaning that I have to delete the assigned objects and motion paths (so my trigger code is empty basically) and reassign the current slide object.

Hello Lucas!

Let me know if you have additional questions!
Hi Lauren,

I would report that as a bug, the triggers are not duplicating and ideally Storyline should maintain the logic for the duplicated objects.
It is possible to do it if you duplicate the slide instead, the motion paths are maintained. It is a nice microinteraction
Yes, duplicating slides is what I did so far but there is a lot of situations where you need to copy only the button (layers, etc.)
Put in a bug report, I will report as well
