I find my Storyline runs slow, especially when it comes to previews and publishing. What recommendations do you have for the purchase of a desktop that will make things run fast!
I tend to lean towards gaming machines, although I don't game, they usually have higher end processors, ram and graphics cards which can all affect your performance with Storyline.
Sometimes you may see in Storyline that screens with multiple images or objects may be slow when developing, this is something improved upon with a higher end machine. Without a faster machine, a developer tip is to hide layers that you don't need to see at that time, to free up memory and speed up development for that particular slide until done, then turn the layers back on.
I usually buy the fastest processor, graphics card with video ram and internal ram that I can afford. Although I have a 64-bit OS, I believe right now Storyline can only utilize 32-bits right now as Storyline is 32-bit and there is not a 64-bit version as of yet, so 64-bit may not be as important for current performance.
