call js functions from parent window

Hi guys!

I need your help. I use my storyline project inside another course. The funciontality is the following:

1) I have an activity which open in a pop-up another html with the story.html embeded as an iframe.

2) If I arrive at the end of the simulation I need call an external javascript function located in other folder (not in content_story), and included in the html which contains the iframe.

To put in a nutshell, the problem is that i can't call this function. The following calls are unrecognized:

  • function
  • parent.function
  • top.function
  • parent.top.function
  • parent.opener.function
  • parent.parent.function
  • ...

Any of this options works well...  If you have any idea how can I solve this, I will be greatful.

Hi, Raquel -- Looks like Jeremy has shared an idea to assist! :)

Regarding the use of JavaScript, I just thought I'd stop in to note that, unfortunately, we are not able to provide support for JS coding.
