Can I publish a SCORM from the command line? (Storyline 3)

Nov 16, 2021

Hi,

Due to corporate, I'm using Storyline 3.4

I would like to publish all the SCORMs of a track in a batch.

I can publish my SCORM from the graphical  interface.
I would like to publish them without opening the graphical interface.

Can I do it?
Maybe something Something like:
storyline.exe /publish chapter_01.story

If it is only available on a later release of Storyline, please let me know.

Kind Regards
Laurent

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Laurent!

We don't have a way to bulk or batch publish projects for Storyline 3 or Storyline 360 at this time, but there have been other folx who've expressed interest. I've added your vote to the report we're tracking, and we'll update here if there's any movement.

In the meantime, I'll leave this discussion to the community for suggestions 😊

This seems to be a feature request that reappears every now and then.... I've already seen several posts over the last few years requesting the ability to publish in batch or from the command line (e.g. https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/batch-publish-mode).
It would be really helpful if it were possible to have something like this.

Just to give you an example, in my company we translate almost all our eLearning modules into 20 languages and every time we need to publish a new course we have to repeat the same procedure manually 20 times.

Also the fact that Storyline does not have an option to directly create the zip file (be it SCORM or TinCan) is a real shame and slows everything down even more.

@Becca, please add my vote to your tracking report as well.

Thank you :-)

Dear Articulate Team,

I wanted to follow up on this feature request and see, if it made it on the roadmap for the near future? As someone working with multiple language this would be a huge time saver. Publishing each language one by one is quite time consuming and needs your attention. Would be much nicer to schedule it for example over lunch time and let it run.

Thank you.

Best,
Dominik
