I'd like to be able to set the "notes" panel with an initial state of hidden, but give the user the option to show or hide the notes panel as they please. Is this a possibility in Storyline 1 and/or 360?
You actually have a couple of standard options for your Notes panel. It can display as a tab alongside your menu or you can move it to the topbar of your player.
I know this is an old question, but I'm wondering if there's any option for Storyline 3? Specifically, I love the "hamburger menu" idea for the notes panel, but I can't seem to find that option in SL 3. Basically, like Louis, I'd love to be able to keep my Notes panel "hidden" with the option for the learner to open it up -- not have the Notes panel always open.
While that option is only available on the Modern Player in Storyline 360, you can always adjust your player tabs, such as the Notes section as you see fit. Take a look below and see how I set the Menu and Notes tab to start on Topbar Left so they start off hidden.
Ah! Ren, thank you! While, as you said, the specific feature (the hamburger menu, etc.) is only available in 360, this is just what I was looking for. I can't believe I couldn't remember that! Thanks so much...
