Can keying in different contents lead to different slides?

Jun 20, 2014

Hi all,

I am creating an interactive eLearning course and I would like to have a function like, for example: There is an input field on the slide, users need to key in number 1, 2 or 3. Keying in "1" will lead to slide #1, "2" will lead to slide #2, and "3" will lead to slide #3.

Is this possible? Thanks!

Hi,

Ive uploaded an example for you. I would be interested to see how you use this method of interactivity.

Kind regards,

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Thank you very much that's exactly what I am looking for! Now I can make my modules more like a system!

However I am sorry that I cannot upload the sample here as the module is based on the system interface of the company I work for. It is prohibited to be revealed. But would like to share with you that we search information using certain keywords in the system, and different keywords lead to different results. My module is to let users learn such search function and keywords, but currently my method is just to place some buttons saying like "which of the following keywords would you like to use for searching, please select one". The they will be lead to different slides based on their selection - very "not-like-a-system". Now users can search directly with your method.

Thanks again!

You're welcome,

So are you going to allow them to input a number or a word ?

And why is a button or icon any different.

You would associate the variable sate with the button / icon just the same.

I would let them to input a word, I know the logic now so I will use a text variable instead. The difference in my module, remembering and typing in correct keyword is actually one of the job requirement. If I use button, or icon, it is somehow revealing the answers
