I was asked this and am guessing that the answer is no, but wanted to throw it out to you anyway.
Does Storyline have the capability of recognizing a specific number that is within a range of numbers? For instance, would I be able to give specific feedback on an answer if the learner input the number E53, and the range given is between E45 to E150?

I'm unsure what you mean by the letter E in front of your examples, but yes it can do this with regular numbers.
You can trigger "things to happen" based on a conditional range.
Example below is the happy face is shown only if the number is between 45 and 150.

if you have a variable associated with the learner's entry I'd say yes unless I misunderstand you. I've used the entries e53 and e150 in the sample.
