I have been able to open your .story file, preview the video, publish the file, and see the video in the published file. Are you getting any sort of error message?
Thanks for your quick reply. I just see a blank page. However, i just published the file to a webserver and it plays. Strange. Any one has any idea why this is so?
I'd agree with Wendy's thought here that it may be connected to security settings on your machine. Are you unable to preview videos that you insert such as mp4s, or just YouTube videos?
Sorry about the late reply guys - yes, local inserted videos are fine. But not youtube. What security settings can i change so that i can preview youtube?
No worries on the late reply. Although most content displays during preview just like it would in the published output, there are a few items that are unavailable during preview. They are:
Videos from websites, such as Screenr, YouTube, and Vimeo
Web objects
Interactions imported from Articulate Engage
Print results
JavaScript triggers
Hyperlinks may not work during preview. We recommend publishing to test hyperlinks.
I am having a similar issue. Our company uses Microsoft Stream and I am embedding a video from the website. The published file works fine, but I cannot preview the video in Storyline 360. Does preview not work with Stream? I doubt there could be a security issue as Stream is a company authorized streaming service.

Hi Nivedita! As Ashley mentioned, there are a few items that are unavailable during preview, and website videos are included in that list. Your best bet is to do a quick publish to Articulate Review to get a true picture of what the slide will look like!
Thanks Alyssa!
