Can't record Audio

Hello,
I have been working on a module and I'm about half way through recording the audio. All of a sudden it won't let me record audio. The countdown gets stuck at 1 sec before it will let me record (see image below.).
As far as troubleshooting, so far I have rebooted the program, tried recording on a blank presentation and saved the file to a different location. Any other ideas?

Hi Faye,
A few questions - you mentioned saving the file to a different location, where are you saving your files on a regular basis? You'll want to follow the guidelines here to save to a local drive, with a file path below the 260 character limit and avoid using special characters in your file name.
You also said you tried recording on a blank presentation - was the same behavior present there? If so, please conduct the repair of Storyline as detailed here. It's also worth reviewing the additional troubleshooting steps here for when you're unable to record audio in the event that something changed on the Windows side of things.
