Weird question, but is there a way to pause the clock that's involved with these Time-Elapsed variables? The reason why I'm asking is that, potentially, a learner can step away from the training without remembering to pause or close out of the Storyline module. Unfortunately, some companies are required to pay for the exact time spent on training - again, exact time, not an approximation! It would be nice to pause the clock so that the reporting on the LMS side can accurately reflect the time spent without having to second-guess everything
This is not a weird question and I too have been looking for the answer. I am trying to create a gamified interface by adding a play/pause button which visually pauses a permanent timer/clock. Is it possible to pause the built-in ProjectElapsedTime variable?
While I'm not aware of a way to pause the built-in Elapsed Time variables, I hope some of our talented community members might have some creative suggestions for you.
Thanks, Maria. I imagine it would need a variable that kept a running total of the amount of paused time (from multiple pauses) and subtracted it from the ProjectElapsedTime variable. Unfortunately, my variable and trigger writing skills are not up to it yet. I hope someone else can help.
