Can you use Animated Gif's and Gaming Sprites in Storyline 2

Apr 28, 2016

Hi there,

I am new to articulate story line 2. I was wondering if anyone had used "gaming sprites" or animated gifs in story line 2. I have a few gaming sprites that have been converted into animated gif's. They have different animations such as run, walk, fight just like you would see in arcade games like donkey kong, super mario etc. Could triggers be written to start and stop these animations within story line 2. So they could interact with a quiz for example.

Ive used gifs a bit and they are usable. I'm pretty sure they're not independent of the timeline (see my most recent thread concerning that very issue). Depending on how many you're using and what for but you can pause the timeline before they start and resume on click of whatever then use different states for different animation of the same sprite, if it's gif heavy you could probably arrange them over different layers too. If you wanted sprites to start still then animate you can always use a image of it to start then put the gifs on different states.
