Change state of multiple objects based on one action
Jul 14, 2017
I'd like to reduce the number of triggers I have to make to get this behavior... I'm hoping I'm overlooking an easier way. I have a slide where there are multiple pieces of information a learner can click on. There is a "hint" button which triggers a variable to state that the learner has viewed the hint layer. I'd like several highlights (semi-transparent squares) to suddenly become "normal" (from their "hidden" state) based on the change of this variable. However, what I'm finding is that I have to state the action first, which means that I have to create one trigger ("Change state of highlight-square 1 to normal when variable changes: Scenario5HintVisited") for every single highlight.
Is there an easier way? I keep running into scenarios like this when I create e-learning in Storyline 2.

You might consider using a layer with copies of the objects in their "highlighted" state, then trigger display of the layer on the variable value
