Changing Group Trigger order

Jan 17, 2023

Please help! I am so close to building an accessible drag and drop activity, but I am struggling with one thing.

I have set up states on the draggable object to change to correct or incorrect, but they can only change once they have moved along the motion path.

The motion path trigger is below the state change trigger in the Trigger menu, and i cant for the life of my figure out how to change it. The arrows are greyed out so wont move anything. I have tried deleting the state triggers and doing them again hoping they appear after the motion path.

I have 12 drag items, you can see here in the menu item 12 appear above the motion path triggers for Drop Correct 4

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for reaching out!

Note that drag-and-drop interactions are not keyboard accessible and require a mouse for navigation, making them difficult or impossible to use for mobility-impaired learners and learners with limited vision.

With that being said, you can check out this community thread which contains solutions from the community on how they were able to achieve an accessible drag-and-drop interaction.

If you're willing to upload a copy of your project file here, that would make it easier for community members to take a look at what you've already done and advise on how to improve it.

Hi Joe

I am aware the built in drag and drop is not accessible, but I have built my own one based on the link you have posted above. It fully works with a keyboard, the only thing I am struggling with is that the motion path trigger needs to be before the state change but I cant move it. I have attached the story file so you can see.

Thanks

Michelle
