Changing state of a button after selecting all objects
Nov 15, 2016
I'm struggling with finding the correct trigger to change a button from either hidden or disabled to normal so the learner can click and show another layer.
The learner clicked a picture from the base slide to get to the layer I am working on. The learner needs to click each of the "X"'s and circles down the slide of the slide which will reveal more information. After all have been selected, I would like the button to appear (homemade button that says NEXT SLIDE)
I added a trigger to change state of the button to normal when all of the shapes have been selected ( I also tried to use "visited" but that didn't work either).
My button is still staying hidden after all of the shapes have been selected. I've looked through a bunch of the discussions and I can't find anything that will help me!
I cut the slide out of my larger presentation and have attached it. You need to click on the picture underneath the word "CULTURES" to get to the slide layer I am working on.

Hi there Megan! You really stumped us on this one, but I think we finally found a solution that will work for you! Here is a video of the solution (I used Peek to record this), and I have also attached the file. Take a look at these, and let me know if you have any questions!
Alyssa- Thank you SO much this video has been extremely helpful. I hadn't even heard of using the button set and I also never thought of modifying the selected state to have it include my rectangle. This information is going to be so helpful to me going forward, not only for this specific conundrum I had. You are amazing!
You're so welcome, Megan! Thanks for popping back in to let me know that it worked for you!
Alyssa- I just wanted to let you know that I revisited this post today because it had been a while since I needed to use a button set and I couldn't remember how it worked. So you were helpful once again!
That's awesome, Megan! I'm glad it was just as helpful to you now as it was then. 🌟
