Changing Steps in a Simulation
Sep 23, 2016
Hello! I was wondering if someone could answer my question.
I am currently in the process of making a training where the end user is required to simulate steps. I understand the gist of how to make this happen, but I still have a couple of questions. Part of my requirements for the end user is to make them sign in with an email and password, but I don't want them to actually use my own, nor do I want to create a test account they actually have access to. I was wondering if there is any way when they are going through the steps, I can have them put in a different email and password other than the one I put in when recording my screen. If this is not possible, I need to either delete this scene from training, or come up with an alternative option.

Hi Anna!
Are you setting this up in test mode for your learners? When you go to that slide, you should be able to select the 'form view' and change the answer that the learner needs to input in the text box.
I was setting it up as 'Try Mode'. Is there a difference between selecting either of these modes? I have it working now, but for future reference, should I go ahead and put it in 'Test Mode' as opposed to 'Try Mode'?
You should still be able to edit the text the user needs to input in Try Mode and you would need to update the Hint Caption as well, but your slides would need to be changed out, but this goes for Test Mode as well really if that's the issue.
Glad that it's working for you now.
