Chrome version 80 and above

Jan 28, 2020

Hello,

I am a Articulate Storyline 360 user and I was wondering what I can find out about the following in regards to Chrome 80.   I was wondering if Articulate Storyline takes in account for the upcoming changes, per the information below, to Chrome 80 and if it already does what version of Storyline took these requirements into consideration.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Chrome version 80 will now limit the payload size (up to 64KB) that a course can send to Cornerstone (LMS) upon window close. If the payload exceeds this limit, Chrome will not attempt to send Cornerstone (LMS) the course exit message which includes user status and completion information. This may lead to inaccuracies in our system.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you,

Karl

Hello Karl and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

Thanks for contacting us to share your concerns and the information you've gathered from your LMS.

We've had a similar discussion here, but I wanted to share the specifics from Justin for you or anyone following along:

The good news is that the most resource-intensive communication between an LMS and a course is suspend_data, which is already capped at a maximum of 64 KB by even the most generous LMS standards.  We've never seen a course that approaches this level of runtime data, so we anticipate no impact as a result of this Chrome change.
