Using a course offline - will Articulate store quiz results for later upload (when reconnected to the internet)to an LMS? Is the data stored locally on the system?
Hi, Roslyn! Your learners' data won't be stored on the machine if they are attempting to take a course that needs tracking/reporting abilities.
The "download for offline viewing" option isn’t currently supported for LMS content. Learners who attempt to view an LMS course offline will be prompted to reconnect to the Internet. Storyline will communicate to the LMS that the course is complete either by the learner landing on the results slide or reaching a certain number of slides. So, they'll need a real-time internet connection for that course to function properly.
In addition to what Crystal shared, I also wanted to add information about the set up of if the users loses their connection while taking the course. Hope that helps add some additional information to the set up of what occurs when a user goes offline.
