Color for quiz slides won’t lighten!
Feb 18, 2016
I’m having a problem with the background color of my quiz slides. My course has a different color for each module. The content slides use a picture with a colored panel on the right that contains the text, they look great. For the quiz slides, I created some blank master slides with coordinating colors to match that module.
The problem is when I publish the course (Articulate Online) these quiz slides appear much darker than what shows when I preview them. I’ve lightened these slides and increased the transparency and they look very pale on both the master slides and when I preview them on Storyline, but when I run them live with Online, the color doesn’t change, it stays really dark (I've overwritten the course 3 times trying to lighten the color.) I’ve attached two clips to show you the difference. The client is very unhappy with the color because it’s making it difficult to read. Please, can you tell me what I’m doing wrong!

Hi Kima!
Have done at the link provided in your message. File name "REIBC Governance Training"
Thank you, hope to hear back soon.
Hi, Kima -- Thanks so much, and I wanted to let you know that your file #0073823 has been received! In the meantime, have you had a chance to take a look at the information provided by Leslie, but chance?
Yes, I cleared my browser. I've also looked at it on multiple computers: the color is dark on all.
Hi Kima,
Thanks for following up here and I see from your most recent email that you should have received from Abel that he already shared it with our QA team for additional review. It appears to be happening when you format your slide background to a different color (other than the default white color) and you set its transparency to a different value (other than the default of 0%).
As a workaround, you might want to consider inserting a shape and format it as you desire instead of utilizing the "Format Background" option in your Slide Master.
We'll keep you posted on any other additional information as a part of your case and this forum thread.
Yes, the shape "workaround" works. It's a simple and effective solution.
Thanks for your help.
