Is it possible to have the seekbar work as a course-level object (similar to how it works in Captivate)? I would like to make a presentation that automatically advances slides from beginning to end as one smooth screen animation. I would like to allow users to pause at any point, and be able to scrub backward or forward as desired. The seekbar being slide-level is actually quite distracting and not the behavior I'm hoping for. Is course-level seekbar possible?
Again - I would say how can you have a Seekbar that works in any meaningful fashion if you have a non-linear course. Not sure how this would actually work in practice.
Agree it wouldn't work in a non-linear course but the one I'm working on is more of a presentation than course so it is linear. Any suggestions on how to set up a pause function when the slides are all set to advance automatically and there is no NEXT or PREV buttons displayed?
Has this functionality been added to Storyline yet? I was encountering this very same issue today. For my purposes I was inserting a video and wanted to have intro and final slides with one seekbar that allowed forward scrubbing and backward scrubbing at the course level.
There is quite a bit of discussion in the forums of making a course-wide "progress bar." Try that search term.
If you just have one video and a few other slides, could the menu serve as your progress bar? Each menu item changes color as you progress, and the learner can move back and forth.
Yeah there is definitely work arounds I can use. We were previously a Captivate shop, so we are hoping to keep the same look and feel in the player for the initial adoption period. I will see what I can come up with and what others on the forums have done. Thank you both for the responses. We are very excited about the possibilities that Storyline provides for our learners.
The techniques in this post might give some ideas for a course level progress bar. The post describes a drop down menu, but it seems like the master slide layers and variables could be re-purposed to a drop-down progress bar with navigation back and forth.

Hi Brett,
Not at present.

Sorry, Joshua, that's not currently a feature, but please feel free to suggest it.
And welcome to the community
