Course not reporting correctly to Kallidus

Mar 09, 2015

Hi there, we have created a new course today and tried to mirror our settings for all other courses we upload, however its behaving a little differently

The pass mark is set in the Storyline 2 project itself as 80%

If a user gets 80% or more and closes the course it correctly updates status to Complete

If a user gets less than 80% but closes the course without attempting a retry it correctly updates to In progress

However if a user gets less than 80% and clicks retry test – its takes them back to the start of the quiz. All good so far. But then if the user closes the course it updates their status to complete, irrespective of whether they have reached the required pass mark

We are using Kallidus for our LMS - I have raised it with them but at the moment not sure if its content related or LMS related

Thanks Ashley, replicated the issue in Scorm Cloud, so it appears to be a content issue, but we are still none the wiser as to what's causing it in our content

We've looked at all the publish settings etc and cat see what could cause this

its reporting from a single results slide and from quiz result with a pass mark of 80% and works fine for single attempts. It's when someone clicks the retry quiz button that something is going wrong, but that only has 2 triggers, one to reset the results slide and one to jump to start of quiz

very perplexing

Hi Sara,

You may find that a course is marked Passed or Completed in your learning management system (LMS) on a learner's second quiz attempt even if they don't actually pass or complete the quiz.

This issue was corrected in Update 5 for Articulate Storyline 2, and we're currently on Update 9. Do you know what update you're using?  To take advantage of the new features and fixes, install the latest version from the link in your product confirmation email or download it here, then republish your course.
