Creating a checklist that will trigger completion of a course.

Sep 22, 2023

Hello!  I am new to Articulate and wondering if there is a way to create a checklist for a user that, when all the items are checked off, will automatically mark the course complete or give us data to be able to report on so we can see that the user has completed all the steps in the course.  Here is a use case to help clarify:  We use Cornerstone on Demand LMS. A user will log into CSOD and walk through an Articulate course and several required actions, some of which take place outside of the system (i.e. meet with their coach, read a LI Learning article). At the end of the course we envision the user self-reporting that they have completed all the steps. Once they have done this and the course is complete, a second course will be released to them.  We also need to be able to report out on this.

The checklist might look something like this - as an example:
1. Completed all modules of the course.

2. Attended coaching session.

3. Read/watched assigned LI Learning course.

Is it as simple as creating a checklist in Storyline360, adding it as the last section of a course and making it required to fulfill the completion criteria (i.e. 100% of the course needs done to tell CSOD to mark it complete in their transcript)?  Or would I need to make this in the form of a quiz perhaps to get better data?

Thank you so much for your help!
